Char Dham Yatra 2026 – Detailed Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar (200 km / 5–6 hrs)

Your spiritual journey begins from Delhi as you drive towards the holy city of Haridwar, located at the foothills of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after the journey.
In the evening, witness the divine Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, where thousands of diyas float on the river, creating a magical and peaceful atmosphere.
Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Day 2: Haridwar to Kharsali (280 km / 8–9 hrs)

After breakfast, begin a scenic drive towards Kharsali via Mussoorie. Enjoy beautiful views of hills, waterfalls, and winding roads throughout the journey.
Kharsali is a peaceful Himalayan village and serves as the base point for the Yamunotri trek. After reaching, check in to your hotel and relax.
Overnight stay in Kharsali.
Day 3: Yamunotri Darshan (5 km trek one side)

Start early in the morning for the trek to Yamunotri Temple, the first dham of the yatra.
You can choose to trek or hire a pony/palki for convenience. The route passes through beautiful valleys, rivers, and forests.
At Yamunotri:
- Take a holy dip in Surya Kund
- Offer prayers at the temple
- Experience peaceful Himalayan surroundings
Return back to Kharsali by evening.
Overnight stay in Kharsali.
Day 4: Kharsali to Uttarkashi (130 km / 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Uttarkashi, a serene town located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River.
On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure. You can explore the local market or visit nearby temples.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 5: Gangotri Darshan (200 km / full day trip)

Early morning, proceed towards Gangotri Temple, the origin of the sacred River Ganga.
The drive is extremely scenic with views of mountains, rivers, and forests.
At Gangotri:
- Visit the temple and attend darshan
- Spend time near the Bhagirathi River
- Enjoy peaceful surroundings
Return to Uttarkashi by evening.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 6: Uttarkashi to Sitapur / Guptkashi (175 km / 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your journey towards Sitapur via Guptkashi.
This route offers stunning views of rivers and valleys, making it one of the most scenic drives of the trip.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax for the next day’s Kedarnath journey.

Day 7: Kedarnath Trek & Darshan (22 km trek)

Start early and drive to Gaurikund via Sonprayag. From here begins the trek to Kedarnath Temple, one of the most sacred temples of Lord Shiva.
You can choose:
- Trekking (22 km)
- Pony / palki
- Helicopter (optional)
On reaching Kedarnath:
- Attend darshan at the temple
- Experience the spiritual aura surrounded by snow-covered peaks
Overnight stay near Kedarnath.
Day 8: Kedarnath to Ukhimath (Return Trek + Drive)

After morning darshan, begin your return trek to Gaurikund and drive back towards Ukhimath/Sitapur.
On the way, you may visit Triyuginarayan Temple, believed to be the wedding place of Lord Shiva and Parvati.
Overnight stay in Ukhimath.
Day 9: Ukhimath to Badrinath (150 km / 7 hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Badrinath Temple via Joshimath.
On arrival:
- Take a dip in Tapt Kund
- Attend evening Aarti at Badrinath Temple
The temple is surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks, offering a truly divine experience.
Overnight stay in Badrinath.
Day 10: Badrinath to Mana Village to Birahi

After breakfast, explore Mana Village, the last village of India.
Visit:
- Vyas Gufa
- Bhim Pul
- Saraswati River
Later, drive down to Birahi and relax after continuous travel.
Overnight stay in Birahi.
Day 11: Birahi to Rishikesh (via Devprayag)

Drive towards Rishikesh via Devprayag — the sacred confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers forming the Ganga.
On arrival in Rishikesh:
- Attend Ganga Aarti
- Explore spiritual vibes of the city
Overnight stay in Rishikesh.
Day 12: Rishikesh to Delhi (200 km / 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Delhi with beautiful memories and divine blessings of Char Dham Yatra.
